About

Hello I am Jan. I am an Engineer, Researcher, and Educator.

As a senior Power Electronics Design Engineer I have extensive experience in design and development of DC-DC and DC-AC power converters based on traditional silicon and novel Wide-Bandgap (SiC and GaN) semiconductors. Currently, I am applying my engineering skills and knowledge to the latest innovations at Tesla.

As a research assistant and innovator I have been working extensivly on electronic circuits utilizing Wide-Bandgap (SiC and GaN) power devices to investigate the impact of printed circuit board design on the performance of these novel power semiconductors.

As an educator I have instructed in multiple functions at the University of British Columbia, ranging from co-supervising master- and coop student projects, instructing workshops for undergraduate students, supervising final year capstone projects and giving invited lectures on the undergraduate and graduate level.
